#PBPitch Is Next Week!

PBPitch 2017

It’s time for another picture book twitter party using the hashtag #PBPitch! So, if you write or illustrate picture books, this is the event for you. This party will take place Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 8am-8pm EST. But remember, anyone can trawl the feed, so be sure and do your research! There will be legitimate agents and editors popping in and out, including those that haven’t confirmed their attendance. But those that have confirmed are:

Be sure and only pitch once before 2pm and once after! (Yes, twice is all you get per manuscript!) If you’re an illustrator, you can attach an image to the pitch. For complete rules and proper hashtags, go here.

As always, good luck!

Curtis Brown and Conville & Walsh’s #PitchCB on #Twitter

This Friday (June 23, 2017) will be the #PitchCB twitter event hosted by Curtis Brown Literary and Talent Agency and Conville & Walsh. These events are held on the fourth Friday of most months (so you can catch the next event if you miss this one).

In order to submit, prepare a 140 character pitch including #PitchCB hashtag for your completed manuscript. The window will be open for 24 hours and remember to only pitch once! If your pitch is “liked”, submit directly to that agent following the agencies’ submission guidelines.

As always, good luck!

Son of a Pitch Twitter Party

There is a twitter party for #SonofaPitch tomorrow hosted by Katie Hamstead Teller. There are a few reputable small publishers that will be perusing the feed, but I don’t think agents will be attending. However, tweet regardless (only once per hour per manuscript) because you never know who’ll show up to favorite your pitch. With that said, remember to ALWAYS research before submitting your book baby. Just because you get a favorite, doesn’t mean you have to send.

The site says the contest goes all day, but Katie mentions not monitoring early tweets because it’ll be 5am where she’s at. I’m not sure what that means about the start time though. But, it you plan on pitching, be sure to include the hashtag #SonofaPitch, the genre, and age category. As always, good luck!

Dan Kobolt’s #SFFpit is Tomorrow!

sffpit-contest

It’s that time of year again for science fiction and fantasy writers to polish their pitches for Dan Koboldt’s #SFFpit writing contest on twitter! It starts tomorrow December 8, 2016 between 8am-6pm EST. This contest allows 10 pitches total and Dan asks that you use them wisely! As usual, it needs to be a 140 character pitch for twitter and includes the hashtag #SFFpit. For all the rules, including how to properly insert the age group and category, go here. And remember to research any agents or editors that favorite your tweet because ANY ONE can trawl the feed!

As always, good luck!
