Curtis Brown and Conville & Walsh’s #PitchCB on #Twitter

This Friday (April 21st) will be the #PitchCB twitter event hosted by Curtis Brown Literary and Talent Agency and Conville & Walsh. These events are held on the fourth Friday of most months (so you can catch the next event if you miss this one), hosted by Jess Whitlum-Cooper and Richard Pike of Curtis Brown

In order to submit, prepare a 140 character pitch including #PitchCB hashtag for your completed manuscript. The window will be open for 24 hours and remember to only pitch once! If your pitch is “liked”, submit directly to that agent following the agencies’ submission guidelines.

As always, good luck!

  1. This is a fun contest! Great for pitch practicing. Occasionally, though, they do cancel or skip a month without any real warning so watch out for that!

If you’d like more monthly events to post about, you can check my list here (bit.ly/monthlyevents) or for big upcoming ones like #DVPit (which I see you posted about) you can check my calendar here (bit.ly/writingcalendar).

    1. While the contest is fun, it’s absolutely not for practice. Participants should practice with their betas and critique partners before pitching to the literary agents of Curtis Brown or Conville & Walsh. And they should only pitch once. But you are right that they sometimes skip months and I don’t remind folks in those months.

I’ve been promoting contests for several years and usually close to the event date. I do this because I know people get busy and forget, so I try to be that little nudge. LoL. And thanks for offering a peak at your calendar. Even though I have many posts scheduled months in advance, I could still miss something. Have a great day and thanks for visiting my blog!
